Clinical Specialist - Joint Reconstruction

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Specialist to join our Joint Reconstruction team in Invercargill, New Zealand. The role provides hands‑on clinical support for hip and knee replacement procedures, including the VELYS™ robotic system, and works closely with orthopaedic surgeons and theatre staff.

Key responsibilities

• Attend orthopaedic surgeries and ensure the safe, correct use of joint reconstruction products and VELYS™ robotic technology.
• Deliver in‑service training and product demonstrations to surgeons, registrars, nursing staff and other theatre personnel.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing ongoing clinical support.
• Identify and pass on sales leads, collaborating with the sales team as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge through continuous training.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a health‑related discipline (e.g., Nursing, Physiotherapy, Paramedicine, Exercise Science, Osteopathy, Chiropractic).
• Experience supporting hip and knee arthroplasty procedures.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with VELYS™ robotic orthopaedic technology.
