Clinical Nurse Manager

About the role

The Southern Charity Hospital Trust is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead its nursing department. This paid, Monday‑to‑Friday position offers the chance to shape patient care, support volunteers, and contribute to a community‑driven hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, coordination and management to ensure safe patient care.
• Assist in session and list management with oversight of clinical delivery and safety implications.
• Contribute to the production and review of clinical policies and procedures.
• Ensure hospital and clinical facilities are maintained in safe and optimal working order.
• Lead and support capability building for the team of volunteers.

Required profile

• Significant post‑graduate clinical nursing practice with Theatre or Perioperative experience at a senior level.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Post‑graduate degree (or working towards) is desirable.
• Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles.
• Empathetic, patient‑focused and committed to excellence.
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its implications on healthcare.
