About the role
We are seeking a strategic, commercially‑savvy Category Development & Shopper Manager to shape how our brands perform across the New Zealand retail landscape. You will work with iconic Nestlé Beverage brands such as Nescafé, Milo, Starbucks and Nesquik, driving shopper‑focused initiatives that grow categories and deepen customer partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Own flawless execution of the NZ brand plan for priority categories.
- Develop and activate shopper and trade execution plans aligned with commercial strategy.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure consistent, on‑brand implementation across all retail touchpoints.
- Provide timely local consumer insights to support the NZ brand plan.
- Translate shopper behaviour, category trends and competitive insights into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with Commercial Development Managers to deliver category‑focused support for the sales organisation.
- Contribute to customer presentations, category reviews and strategic selling stories.
Required profile
- Strong experience in category development, shopper marketing or brand management, preferably in FMCG.
- Excellent analytical ability to turn insights into commercial actions.
- Confident communicator across cross‑functional and customer‑facing teams.
- Passion for influencing shopper behaviour and driving category growth.
- Collaborative, proactive mindset with a growth orientation.
- Full New Zealand working rights and willingness to undergo pre‑employment checks.
