About the role
Dematic is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new sales opportunities for its Connected Workforce Solutions in East Tamaki, Auckland. You will sell innovative supply‑chain automation technologies and partner with leading IT hardware and software providers.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales prospects to achieve quota.
- Manage prospect profiles by timing, size and type to support new‑business strategies.
- Keep the CRM system up‑to‑date for accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Develop and sustain relationships with customers, business partners and industry contacts.
- Identify cross‑division sales opportunities and coordinate responses.
- Monitor market trends and report key developments to management.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and ensure requirements are met from enquiry through delivery and service support.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations aligned with current market insights.
- Hand over projects smoothly to the Project Management team.
Required profile
- Proven experience in solution‑selling and business development within supply‑chain or logistics automation.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with customers, partners and industry contacts.
- Ability to analyse market trends and translate them into sales opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Required skills
- Experience with voice‑directed and vision‑directed solutions.
- Knowledge of handheld and vehicle‑mount computers.
- Familiarity with printers, scanners and RFID technology.
- Understanding of wireless infrastructure and its integration with management information systems.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems for pipeline management and forecasting.
