Accounting Manager – Fixed Term (8 months)

About the role

Join a leading global technology company and lead a high‑performing Accounting Operations team from our brand‑new Auckland CBD office. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will have significant exposure to senior leadership and be responsible for delivering key financial outcomes across a fast‑paced multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operational accounting processes, including Accounts Payable, credit‑card transactions, staff expense reimbursements and operating accounting.
• Leverage technology and continuous‑process improvement to ensure accurate, efficient functions with high attention to detail.
• Review revenue, lease, commission and inventory accounting treatments in accordance with IFRS.
• Oversee payroll, staff‑benefits journals and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain high‑quality control environments and effective management‑accounting reporting systems.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to support the financial implications of management decisions.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience in large, complex, globally‑exposed businesses.
• Proven people‑leadership and stakeholder‑management experience.
• Autonomous, driven and able to deliver multiple workstreams to tight deadlines.
• Strong initiative, innovation and sound judgement in solving complex issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage across multiple teams.
• US accounting experience is highly desirable.
