Service Team Leader – Pest Control

About the role

Rentokil Initial is seeking a hands‑on Service Team Leader to guide a team of pest‑control technicians in Palmerston North. This role blends day‑to‑day operational involvement with people‑focused leadership, ideal for someone early‑to‑mid in their management career who enjoys being on the front line.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a crew of approximately 10 field technicians.
• Coach team members to boost performance, confidence and technical capability.
• Monitor service quality, intervene to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with customers to maintain reliable service delivery.
• Assist with scheduling, resource planning and operational coordination.
• Uphold health and safety standards across all work sites.
• Contribute to reporting and continuous service improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years experience in a team‑leader or supervisory role, preferably in a service or operations setting.
• Hands‑on approach with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Comfortable handling everyday people matters and customer interactions.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Genuine interest in developing people and building team culture.
• Full Class 1 NZ driver’s licence with a clean record.
