Management Accountant

About the role

This commercially focused Management Accountant role sits at the heart of the business, reporting to the Finance Manager. You will provide accurate, timely financial information that supports operational decision‑making across manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing costs and overheads.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and contribute to board reporting.
• Deliver gross margin and profitability analysis to assist the sales team with pricing and tenders.
• Produce cost variance analysis and production cost reporting for manufacturing operations.
• Monitor inventory accounting, perform count reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation.
• Maintain cost accounting systems, including standard costing, BOMs and routings within D365.
• Identify and implement process improvements and reporting automation opportunities.

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
• Several years of practical accounting experience in a large or complex organisation.
• Prior exposure to a manufacturing environment, especially cost accounting, BOMs and standard costing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator able to engage with finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
