Full Stack Engineer (Mid to Senior)

About the role

Whip Around is a Kiwi SaaS business scaling its engineering team in Auckland after a majority investment from Accel‑KKR. You will join a product squad that builds software used daily by fleet operators across New Zealand, the US and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver new product experiences and platform capabilities.
• Improve developer tooling and engineering practices.
• Explore and integrate generative and agentic AI to enhance product and developer workflows.
• Build scalable systems to support global growth.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to solve real‑world customer problems.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience building modern web applications.
• Proficiency with React on the front end.
• Backend experience (PHP/Laravel is a plus but not mandatory).
• Quality‑first mindset: clean code, testing, and collaboration.
• Curiosity, pragmatism and a builder mentality.
• Genuine interest in solving customer problems.
