Equity Analyst

About the role

As an Equity Analyst in ANZ’s Investment Management team, you will deliver high‑quality research and insights that support strong client outcomes across Australasian equity portfolios. You will work closely with the Head of Equities, fund managers and the broader investment team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed research and analysis of Australasian listed companies, industries and market trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.
• Build and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks and investment recommendations supporting portfolio construction and performance.
• Present research findings and investment ideas to senior investment staff, contributing to robust investment debate and decision‑making.
• Support portfolio management activities, including performance analysis, client reporting and development of investment commentary.
• Develop relationships with company management teams, brokers and research providers to enhance market insights.

Required profile

• Previous experience in financial markets with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Sound judgement, intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in investing and markets.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and influence investment discussions.
• Collaborative approach, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics or related discipline; progress towards or completion of CFA is highly regarded.
