Welder / Metal Fabricator – Christchurch

About the role

We are looking for a skilled welder / metal fabricator to join our Christchurch team, working with precision sheet‑metal projects in a safety‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment, hand tools and machinery safely.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel and aluminium to meet code standards.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Ensure all welds comply with quality and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments on projects.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and follow strict safety rules.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety and knowledge of welding safety procedures.
• Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding on the listed materials.
• Attention to detail and high workmanship standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking; a good team player.
• Relevant trade qualification (preferred but not essential).
