Trainer & Assessor – 12 Month Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking a Trainer & Assessor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to deliver training and assessments for high‑risk and heavy mobile plant operations at our Rotowaro coal mine. Reporting to the Training Coordinator, you will ensure operators are competent, records are accurate, and site safety standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training and assessments across operational areas.
• Assess operators on heavy equipment and high‑risk tasks.
• Identify learning needs and support capability development.
• Maintain accurate training and assessment records.
• Support compliance with site training requirements.
• Contribute to safe work practices and risk management.

Required profile

• Experience in training or assessing within mining or other high‑risk environments.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment or mobile plant operations.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with a commitment to safety.
