Tax & Business Advisory Roles in Central North Island

About the role

Deloitte New Zealand’s Tax and Business Advisory division is seeking experienced tax and accounting professionals to join our Central North Island offices. You will work with a team of nearly 500 experts, delivering pragmatic, commercial advice to a diverse client base across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide solution‑driven tax and accounting advice to corporate, international, and indirect tax clients.
• Stay up‑to‑date with New Zealand tax legislation and apply it to client engagements.
• Collaborate with specialist teams on corporate tax, transfer pricing, M&A tax, customs duties, and R&D tax credits.
• Manage multiple client projects, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting, Tax, or Commercial Law.
• Professional experience in a CA firm or similar professional services environment in New Zealand.
• Working towards or completed CA ANZ qualification (or equivalent legal studies).
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
