Supervisor – Distribution Centre Dunedin

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on DDC Supervisor to lead the operations of our Dunedin Distribution Centre, based in Waikouaiti. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will manage daily warehousing, dispatch, logistics and distribution activities while guiding a team of roughly 14 staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring efficient order picking and dispatch.
• Manage stock control, FIFO processes and regular stocktakes.
• Coordinate transport, optimise fleet utilisation and maintain compliance with health & safety standards.
• Lead the team through rostering, staff development and performance monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to MPI, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with logistics, planning, production, sales, transport providers and farm operations to guarantee timely, accurate deliveries.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in warehouse, logistics or distribution environments.
• Hands‑on, solution‑focused approach with strong organisational skills.
• Solid understanding of compliance, health & safety and operational processes.
• Excellent communication and people‑leadership abilities.
• Comfortable working in fast‑moving operational settings.
• Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or related distribution sectors is highly regarded.
