About the role
The Specialist – Procurement will support our tertiary education institution by applying a value‑for‑money mindset, driving innovation, influencing decisions and delivering timely, robust outcomes. You will manage end‑to‑end tender processes, provide expert advice on purchasing and tendering, and implement solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key responsibilities
- Provide procurement, contractual and commercial advice to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct procurement and category planning and analysis.
- Develop tenders and manage the full tendering process.
- Draft, negotiate and maintain contracts.
- Support Takiwā and Uepū with supplier performance management and contract reviews.
- Manage contract variations and drive process or contract model improvements.
Required profile
- 7+ years of procurement experience, including end‑to‑end tender processes (public sector experience preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, business or a related field.
- Experience in contract management.
- Broad knowledge of procurement concepts, methodologies and commercial practices.
- Strong communication, organisation, prioritisation and workload management skills.
- Proven ability to build lasting, credible relationships.
