About the role
Mercy Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its In‑Patient Unit (IPU) in Auckland. You will provide holistic, palliative care to patients with life‑limiting illnesses and support their families and whānau.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver ongoing physical, emotional, social and spiritual care to patients and their families.
- Work 24/7 rostered shifts in a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Utilise computer systems for documentation and care planning.
Required profile
- Current NZ Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience (palliative care preferred but not essential); new graduates will be considered.
- Passion for providing quality, holistic care.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work rostered shifts.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
