Registered Nurse - In Patient Unit

About the role

Mercy Hospice is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join its In‑Patient Unit (IPU) in Auckland. You will provide holistic, palliative care to patients with life‑limiting illnesses and support their families and whānau.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ongoing physical, emotional, social and spiritual care to patients and their families.
• Work 24/7 rostered shifts in a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Utilise computer systems for documentation and care planning.

Required profile

• Current NZ Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience (palliative care preferred but not essential); new graduates will be considered.
• Passion for providing quality, holistic care.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work rostered shifts.

• Computer literacy.
