Production Manager – Blueberry Operations

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Production Manager to lead our fast‑paced Northland Blueberries operation. Based in Kerikeri, you will ensure harvest and pruning activities run safely, efficiently and on schedule while balancing multiple priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily workflow using data and simple tech tools, allocating labour to meet production targets.
• Lead harvest and pruning teams, set daily plans, manage rosters and timesheets.
• Ensure high volumes of workers are positioned correctly with the right equipment and resources.
• Monitor productivity, quality and safety, solving issues early and keeping the operation on track.
• Maintain visibility across tunnels and work areas, communicating clear direction and standards.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead large, dynamic teams in a high‑tempo environment.
• Comfortable making quick decisions and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on efficiency and safety.
• Experience in horticulture is valuable, but leadership experience in other sectors with peak‑period operations is also welcomed.
