PaaS Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Platform / PaaS Developer to join Sharesies’ Platform as a Service team. You will help design and build internal platforms, tooling and self‑service infrastructure that enable rapid, safe delivery of new offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve internal platform tooling and services.
• Design self‑service infrastructure to accelerate team delivery.
• Embed observability, performance and reliability into the platform.
• Contribute to AI‑enabled developer workflows and operational improvements.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to guide platform adoption.
• Influence the evolution of platform engineering within Sharesies.

Required profile

• Enjoy working at the systems level and enabling others to deliver value.
• Comfortable in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment where priorities shift quickly.
• Product‑mindset focused on user enablement, rapid iteration and real‑world impact.

Required skills

• Platform engineering experience.
• Building internal tooling and services.
• Database operations and performance analysis, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Containerised services in cloud environments (e.g., Docker).
• Observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
