Operations Contract Manager (8‑Month Fixed Term)

About the role

The Operations Contract Manager will oversee vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met across ANZ's Technology division. This 8‑month fixed‑term position is based in Auckland or Wellington and focuses on minimizing commercial and operational risk while supporting regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track vendor performance against contractual obligations.
• Lead monthly governance meetings to review vendor delivery and performance.
• Validate that deliverables are met before processing payments.
• Interpret contract pricing schedules, apply discounts, credits, and service credits for poor performance.
• Ensure suppliers are paid according to contract terms and track commercial metrics for major contracts.
• Record benefits, both qualitative and quantitative, and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Run governance forums and account connect meetings on schedule, documenting actions and reports.
• Maintain compliance with regulations such as CPS230 and promote continuous improvement in operational contract management practices.
• Lead the development of OCM skills across the Technology NZ domain.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational contract or vendor management.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., CPS230) and ANZ policies.
• Ability to lead meetings, track performance data, and communicate results effectively.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail in contract compliance and financial tracking.
