About the role
The Court Registry Support Officer provides essential administrative and customer‑service support to the Christchurch District Court. You will interact with judges, lawyers, and the public, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations of the court registry.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver timely and efficient customer service to judges, lawyers, and the public.
- Assist Court Registry Officers with photocopying, scanning, file management and case‑file preparation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and monitor the court’s email inbox, sorting and responding as appropriate.
- Enter data accurately and maintain court records.
- Answer telephone enquiries and direct them to the correct personnel.
- Prepare and deliver court files to judges within required timeframes.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a customer‑service environment.
- Confident, able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Motivated to learn and take on new challenges.
- Hold a current full New Zealand driver’s licence.
