Nursing Lecturer – Part‑time (30 hrs/week)

About the role

The School of Nursing at Manukau Institute of Technology is looking for a motivated, registered Nurse to join our team as a part‑time Lecturer. You will teach across a range of nursing programmes, supervise students in clinical settings and contribute to the department’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate nursing lectures and practical sessions.
• Develop and update curriculum materials in line with current clinical practice.
• Provide clinical supervision for students across the greater Auckland region.
• Engage in research activities and scholarly publications.
• Collaborate with academic and clinical staff to enhance learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Nurse with a valid practising certificate.
• Strong clinical background and preferably prior nursing education experience.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Self‑starter with a good sense of humour, patience and flexibility.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to work with diverse learners.
• Full NZ driver’s licence for travel to clinical sites.
