Network Operator – Water & Wastewater Services

About the role

Veolia is seeking a Network Operator to join its Queenstown team, responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater reticulation networks. The role supports reliable service delivery while upholding health, safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair water and wastewater reticulation networks.
• Install, service and repair water meters.
• Respond to burst water main incidents and coordinate remedial actions.
• Act as the primary contact for customer service requests, logging all activities accurately.
• Support capital works improvement programs and assist the Networks Supervisor with minor and major repairs.
• Collaborate with field, engineering, management, clients and suppliers to ensure effective operations.
• Perform general duties required for service provision.

Required profile

• Effective communicator able to engage with staff at all levels and with customers.
• Self‑starter with a high degree of autonomy and strong planning/organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to keep accurate work records and maintain personal integrity.
• Willingness to build harmonious working relationships within a team environment.
