Mower Operator – Greenspace Team (Bay of Plenty)

About the role

Join Downer’s Greenspace team to maintain parks, reserves and public spaces across the Bay of Plenty. This hands‑on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating machinery and taking pride in keeping local communities looking their best.

Key responsibilities

• Mowing and weed eating of public areas
• Edge and vegetation control
• Litter collection and general site presentation
• Operation and routine maintenance of mowing equipment
• Follow scheduled runs and complete required documentation

Required profile

• Physically fit and reliable
• Previous mowing, landscaping, farming or horticulture experience preferred
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 is an advantage)
• Ability to complete timesheets and use handheld electronic devices
• Confidence operating and maintaining machinery independently
• Positive attitude, safety‑focused and pride in delivering quality work
