About the role
This senior marketing and brand position leads the strategy for a diverse tourism portfolio, covering flagship experiences, emerging products and awareness‑building initiatives. The role is based in Queenstown and requires a hands‑on, outward‑facing approach, with regular on‑site interaction and occasional travel.
Key responsibilities
- Own and execute the marketing and brand plan for the tourism portfolio.
- Serve as the marketing voice for the business unit, partnering with operational leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Drive integrated brand marketing across social, content‑led email, and traditional media (OOH, radio, print) in collaboration with digital, creative, PR and trade teams.
- Shape creative direction while remaining hands‑on with campaigns, content and copy.
- Lead a small earned/content and campaign support team, raising consistency and capability.
- Build relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites, spending time on‑site and travelling as needed.
Required profile
- Proven senior marketing experience with strong brand sensibility and creative judgement.
- Leadership ability to influence and align teams without necessarily managing a large staff.
- Commercial acumen and understanding of revenue drivers, brand, channels and trade‑offs.
- Confidence operating across the full marketing mix (content, social, email, traditional media) and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to prioritise within a complex portfolio, set baselines and say “no” when required.
- High energy, adaptability and a genuine appreciation for outdoors and conservation values.
