Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a creative, organised and digitally‑savvy professional to join Sherwood Queenstown as a Digital Marketing & Social Media Coordinator. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and General Manager, you will help shape and deliver marketing initiatives across digital, social and traditional channels for our hospitality property.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution and optimisation of digital, social and traditional marketing campaigns.
• Coordinate promotional activities for accommodation, food & beverage, conferences, events and hotel activations.
• Assist with seasonal campaigns, partnerships and brand initiatives.
• Manage paid advertising on Meta and Google platforms.
• Maintain and grow Sherwood Queenstown’s social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
• Create, schedule and publish on‑brand content across all platforms.
• Monitor engagement, respond to enquiries and comments where appropriate.
• Develop social media content plans aligned with business goals.
• Coordinate photography, videography, influencer stays and content shoots.
• Produce EDMs, flyers, digital assets, menus, presentations and other promotional collateral.
• Assist with copywriting for campaigns, website, social media and guest communications.
• Update and maintain the website and online listings.

Required profile

• Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and hospitality.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Meta advertising platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
• Experience with Google advertising platforms.
• Proficiency in managing Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok accounts.
• Knowledge of email direct marketing (EDM) tools.
