Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable operation of production equipment and site utilities at our South Auckland facility. The role involves both routine and non‑routine maintenance in a GMP‑regulated animal health pharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and plant utilities.
• Diagnose faults, repair equipment quickly, and minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with external service providers to improve plant reliability and safety.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Document maintenance activities in ERP and other computerized systems.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and overtime as required by production schedules.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Electrical experience or a dual trade qualification.
• Minimum three years of maintenance experience in a quality‑focused, highly regulated manufacturing setting.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering principles.
