Maintenance Coordinator – Part‑time (25 hrs/week)

About the role

Riverside Lifecare is seeking a part‑time Maintenance Coordinator to join its team in New Plymouth. This permanent role involves 25 hours per week on AM shifts, Monday to Friday, ensuring the care home environment remains safe, clean, and well‑maintained for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, minor repairs, painting, plumbing and carpentry.
• Maintain gardens and the exterior of the building.
• Coordinate with the Care Home Manager to uphold resident safety standards.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and keep accurate records.
• Support a tidy and hygienic environment that contributes to resident well‑being.

Required profile

• Experience with general maintenance, painting, plumbing or minor carpentry (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time‑management skills.
• Empathetic, customer‑focused attitude with a genuine desire to help people.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
