Junior Consultant / Consultant – Generalist (Auckland)

About the role

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking motivated individuals to join its consulting team in Auckland as Junior Consultants or Consultants. You will work on high‑impact projects for leading businesses, governments and non‑profits, helping them navigate complex challenges and drive transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior team members to analyse client problems and develop data‑driven recommendations.
• Participate in client workshops, presentations and implementation activities.
• Conduct market, industry and competitor research to support strategic insights.
• Contribute to the creation of deliverables such as reports, slide decks and analytical models.
• Travel to client sites, including occasional international assignments, as required.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (or final‑year student) with a strong academic record.
• Demonstrated interest in business strategy, digital transformation or related fields.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to fast‑paced project environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for data analysis and presentation.
