Field Service Technician

About the role

The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites across the region to service, inspect, and repair JLG access equipment such as elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers. The role focuses on delivering fast, on‑site solutions while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, routine servicing and repairs on elevating work platforms, telehandlers and lighting towers.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues, aiming to complete repairs on site.
• Complete required paperwork, inspection forms and service reports in line with JLG policy and local standards.
• Communicate any unresolved issues to the Field Service Coordinator and provide accurate quotes when needed.
• Conduct van audits, stock takes and generate service leads.
• Travel, including overnight stays, to meet customer service schedules.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar field service or equipment maintenance role.
• Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive or auto‑electrical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
