About the role
As a Field Service Engineer you will ensure that Air New Zealand’s digital workplace runs smoothly across airports, lounges, engineering facilities and corporate sites in New Zealand and abroad. You will provide both on‑site and remote support for end‑user technology, helping to deliver seamless customer experiences every day.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver on‑site and remote field services across Air New Zealand operational hubs.
- Deploy, configure, maintain and troubleshoot end‑user devices, meeting‑room equipment and peripheral technologies.
- Support desktop, laptop and collaboration tools in multiple environments.
- Assist with technology rollouts, upgrades and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents quickly to minimise operational disruption.
- Maintain accurate asset, support and documentation records.
- Participate in an on‑call roster to meet operational requirements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders through clear communication and exceptional service.
Required profile
- Proven experience in field services, desktop support or end‑user computing.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS environments and hardware support.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and systems administration.
- Experience supporting geographically distributed sites and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, collaboration technologies and enterprise support tools.
- Professionalism, discretion and communication skills suitable for senior and executive stakeholders.
- New Zealand residency and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
