Entry-Level Private Business Consultant – Immediate Start

About the role

PwC Private is looking for an ambitious graduate or candidate with up to one year of experience to join its Private Business team in Hamilton. This entry‑level position offers an immediate start and provides the opportunity to work on a variety of financial advisory projects for small family‑owned firms as well as larger well‑known companies.

Key responsibilities

• Support business owners with financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns, statutory financial statements and other compliance documentation.
• Contribute to budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting, financial modelling and board reporting.
• Identify risk areas and propose sustainable planning opportunities across the tax life‑cycle.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to deliver performance‑improvement and growth‑strategy recommendations.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or candidate with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong interest in accounting, finance and business advisory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ambitious, tech‑savvy and eager to work closely with clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modelling.
