Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

Join the CTCT division of Caterpillar, a joint venture with Trimble, to develop positioning and control software for earthmoving and paving machines used in construction and mining. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment delivering high‑quality machine‑control applications.

Key responsibilities

• Write and maintain C++, Android, and web code for machine‑control applications.
• Collaborate with domain experts and software developers across multiple international sites.
• Apply fundamental software‑engineering practices to ensure predictability in scheduling, quality, and delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in computer science, engineering, mathematics, mechatronics or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing C++ applications.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively under tight deadlines across time zones.
