Diesel Mechanic

About the role

Tranzit is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic to join its Auckland workshop team in Westgate. You will work with a diverse fleet that includes traditional diesel vehicles and cutting‑edge electric vehicles, giving you the chance to broaden your technical expertise while collaborating with an experienced, passionate team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and minor repairs to keep the fleet road‑ready.
• Prepare vehicles for COF (Certificate of Fitness) inspections.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults across diesel and EV platforms.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards on all work performed.

Required profile

• Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in road transport.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair abilities.
• Reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
