Dental Assistant / Receptionist / Sterilisation Assistant (Casual)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable team member to combine front-of-house reception duties with hands-on chairside assistance in our dental practice. The role blends patient interaction, administrative support and strict infection-control responsibilities, offering a varied day-to-day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet patients, manage appointments and maintain patient records.
• Process payments, banking and other administrative tasks.
• Assist dentists during a range of treatments, preparing instruments and materials.
• Maintain strict infection-control and sterilisation procedures for all dental tools.
• Manage stock, equipment preparation and ensure a smooth instrument flow.
• Contribute to a calm, organised clinical environment.

Required profile

• Warm, positive attitude with strong customer-service focus.
• Attention to detail, reliability and ability to make patients feel at ease.
• Proactive, can-do attitude and commitment to delivering great care.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced dental setting.

Required skills

• Infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Dental instrument handling and preparation.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems quickly.
