Customer Service Consultant – Contact Centre (Auckland)

About the role

As a Customer Service Consultant in ANZ's New Zealand Contact Centre, you will be the calm, problem‑solving voice customers rely on when they need clarity, assistance, or care. Based in Sylvia Park, Auckland, you will support everyday banking and digital enquiries while living ANZ’s values of putting customers first and delivering accurate, timely support.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer contacts across New Zealand, addressing banking and digital service queries.
• Own enquiries from start to finish, ensuring resolutions are clear and complete.
• Escalate risks or concerns early when issues arise.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve the best outcome for each customer.
• Follow a structured training programme – an initial seven‑week full‑time block followed by a second training session two months later.

Required profile

• Enjoy helping people and take pride in doing the right thing.
• Previous customer service experience with confidence engaging diverse customers.
• Clear, calm, and respectful communication style.
• Commitment to seeing issues through to resolution rather than handing them off.
• Curiosity, openness to feedback, and a willingness to learn.
• Team‑oriented mindset that contributes to a supportive environment.
