Charge Manager – Anaesthetics (Epsom)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA to take on the Charge Manager role for our Anaesthetics service at Allevia Hospital Epsom. The position is full‑time, permanent and based on‑site, leading a team of ATs and RNAAs across ten state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of Anaesthetic Technicians and RNAA staff in ten operating theatres.
• Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of all anaesthetic resources – people, equipment and financial – to achieve excellent clinical outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality and customer service while supporting surgeons and anaesthetists.
• Report directly to the Theatre Manager and adapt working hours as required to meet business needs.
• Contribute to business growth and a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• NZ registration and APC as an Anaesthetic Technician or a qualified RNAA.
• Preferable qualification in management.
• CORE Advanced certification and extensive experience in anaesthetic practice.
• Proven people‑leadership ability, strong judgement and logical problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to quality, safety and collaborative multidisciplinary teamwork.
