Buyer – Computers Category

About the role

The role is responsible for managing and driving the buying success of the Computers category for Noel Leeming. You will own the end‑to‑end process from sourcing and supplier negotiations to range planning and commercial execution.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and competitive product ranges aligned to customer needs and market trends.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends and innovations in the Computers sector.
• Build and strengthen relationships with global and local suppliers, negotiating favourable terms.
• Execute and optimise buying strategies that drive profitable growth.
• Use customer insights, market analysis, and sales data to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with planning, marketing, and merchandising teams to ensure successful delivery across all channels.
• Travel 3‑4 times per year as required.

Required profile

• 5+ years of buying experience, preferably in computers or technology/consumer electronics.
• Strong analytical and financial skills with a commercial mindset.
• Confident negotiator able to secure value and quality.
• Deep understanding of customer drivers and ability to translate them into successful ranges.
• Highly collaborative with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Proactive and decisive, comfortable working at pace.
