Business Director

About the role

TBWA New Zealand is seeking two Business Directors to lead and grow relationships with some of the country’s most iconic brands, including Southern Cross, The Warehouse and Tourism New Zealand. You will work closely with the agency’s executive leadership team to shape future‑focused brand platforms and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day account management across strategy, creative and financial dimensions.
• Develop and execute strategic plans in partnership with strategy teams.
• Champion high‑quality creative work and ensure it aligns with brand objectives.
• Lead and mentor account teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Maintain and grow long‑term client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
• Monitor short‑term and long‑term forecasts, manage budgets and meet targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a creative or advertising agency.
• Proven ability to build and sustain strong client relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of growing accounts.
• Hands‑on attitude, willing to roll up sleeves and engage directly with work.
• Positive, solution‑oriented mindset.
