About the role
BNZ is seeking an ambitious leader to manage its Rotorua and Taupō branches. The Branch Manager will inspire a team of full‑service bankers, build community connections and drive growth for consumer and small‑business customers.
Key responsibilities
- Coach, mentor and lead branch staff to achieve performance and financial targets.
- Ensure a consistent, engaging customer experience across both locations.
- Collaborate with the Branch/Partner/Private network to coordinate regional market opportunities.
- Develop and implement annual business plans in partnership with the Head of Branch/Region.
- Monitor risk and compliance, maintaining accountability for regulatory standards.
Required profile
- Proactive self‑starter with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and improve team effectiveness.
- Strong track record of delivering great customer outcomes.
- Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Accountability for risk management and compliance.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of financial products and services.
- Strong technical capability and understanding of banking systems.
