Water Technician – Civil Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for a Water Technician to join our crew building and maintaining vital water infrastructure across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions. Based in Rotorua Central, you will work on‑site delivering hands‑on solutions that ensure reliable water services for local communities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain water pipelines, pumps and related infrastructure on civil construction sites.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing to verify system performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Document work performed, materials used and any deviations from design specifications.
• Support the team in preparing sites for upcoming construction phases.

Required profile

• Hands‑on attitude with a willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and safety procedures.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with crew members and supervisors.
