Wastewater Reticulation Operator

About the role

Join CORDE's Water Services team in Rolleston as a Wastewater Operator. You will work across the Selwyn district maintaining wastewater reticulation networks and, where required, operate within treatment plants to support essential water infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to various sites in the Selwyn district to service and maintain pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
• Perform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on wastewater reticulation assets.
• Conduct laboratory testing and assess treatment processes when working in treatment facilities.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure reliable service delivery and compliance with environmental standards.

Required profile

• Background in wastewater operations or a Level 4 Wastewater Qualification (advantageous).
• Class 1 driver licence (essential).
• Physically fit, safety‑conscious and able to work in demanding outdoor conditions.
• Positive attitude, quick learner and able to follow instructions.
