About the role
We are seeking a Waananga Facilitator / Pou Hihiko to join our team in Hamilton Central. The role focuses on delivering frontline services that train and develop whanau, helping them understand the impacts of family harm. The facilitator will work directly with families, using culturally appropriate methods to engage participants and foster a safe learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide frontline training sessions for whanau.
- Develop and deliver educational content that raises awareness of family harm.
- Support families in understanding and addressing the effects of family harm.
- Collaborate with local partners to tailor training programs to community needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions.
Required profile
- Strong commitment to community wellbeing and family support.
- Ability to work collaboratively with community organisations.
Required skills
