Vice President – Commercial Leadership

About the role

WASSP Multibeam, a world‑class New Zealand technology company specializing in multibeam sonar, is seeking a commercially‑driven Vice President to lead its international growth. You will sit at the intersection of technology and commerce, shaping market‑driven product strategy and driving revenue across B2B and emerging B2C channels.

Key responsibilities

• Accelerate international revenue growth in established B2B markets and new B2C opportunities within survey, defence and scientific sectors.
• Champion a market‑driven product development process, grounding decisions in customer research, field intelligence and competitive analysis.
• Serve as the commercial liaison to R&D, translating validated market needs into clear product briefs and ensuring timely delivery.
• Align manufacturing, sales and marketing around shared commercial outcomes and execution timelines.
• Maintain a systematic feedback loop between field sales teams and product planning.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing international team, including Regional Sales Managers across EMEA, the Americas and SEA.
• Represent the company in key accounts, distributor partnerships and industry networks.

Required profile

• Proven senior commercial leadership experience in technology, marine, defence or industrial B2B/B2C environments.
• Track record of delivering significant revenue growth and managing cross‑functional teams.
• Strong market insight with the ability to translate customer needs into product strategy.
