Tourism Tutor – Maternity Cover (Full‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

The New Zealand School of Tourism is seeking a full‑time Tourism Tutor to cover a maternity leave until December 2026. You will deliver the Tourism Certificate programme to a diverse cohort of learners on the Wellington campus, helping them acquire the skills needed for a career in travel and tourism.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom learning using the existing curriculum and teaching resources.
• Provide guidance and support to students to ensure they achieve their qualification.
• Assist learners in planning their career pathways within the tourism industry.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in the travel/tourism sector, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Diploma or degree in Tourism or a related field is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and fostering student success.
• Teaching experience is a plus but not mandatory.
