Technology Business Partner – Manager

About the role

As a Technology Business Partner within PwC New Zealand's NZiT team, you will own the performance and continuous improvement of enterprise applications. You will act as the primary technology relationship manager for assigned Lines of Service, ensuring applications are stable, secure and aligned with business needs while supporting global and local technology initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Service Owner for assigned applications, collaborating with vendors and PwC IT to maintain service health, stability and performance.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support oversight, ensuring effective triage, escalation and resolution of incidents.
• Coordinate major incidents and restore services promptly through teamwork with NZiT, Global IT and vendors.
• Serve as the primary technology relationship manager for assigned Lines of Service, building trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Test software upgrades and new introductions.
• Translate business requirements and pain points into actionable technology outcomes and service improvements.
• Identify opportunities where technology can improve efficiency, reduce risk or enhance client delivery.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of how technology supports better business outcomes.
• 5+ years of experience in application or service management of enterprise SaaS and hybrid platforms.
• Proven success delivering service‑improvement initiatives that generate measurable savings or uplift customer experience.
• Strong vendor management, contract negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
• Experience with application support and knowledge of the end‑to‑end client lifecycle in a professional services firm is desirable.
