Technical Trainer

About the role

The Technical Trainer will design, develop and deliver training programs within a project delivery environment for Cubic Transportation Systems. This position ensures that both customers and employees acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to meet business expectations and program schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate needs‑analysis activities to identify skill and knowledge gaps.
• Develop and maintain training curricula for assigned employee groups.
• Collaborate with engineering, V&V, program management, services and customers to define training content and outcomes.
• Design and produce training materials such as manuals, instructor guides, student guides, workshop exercises and performance tests.
• Select appropriate instructional delivery methods (e.g., lectures, workshops, demonstrations).
• Produce and edit handouts, manuals, online courses and PowerPoint presentations using existing engineering documents where possible.
• Evaluate training effectiveness, record results for reporting and audit, and continuously improve materials based on feedback.
• Report trainee progress, schedule and results to management.
• Comply with Cubic’s Quality Management System and APAC PMO Governance Standards.
