Technical Delivery Lead

About the role

This senior position drives execution of day‑to‑day workflows, ad‑hoc tasks and strategic projects for a New Zealand‑based data business. Acting as the bridge between technical delivery and business goals, the role is ideal for a technical leader who champions delivery excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle, monitor milestones and reallocate resources to keep projects on track.
• Mentor and guide the technical team, support skill development and foster a collaborative culture.
• Use a strong technical background to validate outputs and help the team overcome complex delivery hurdles.
• Oversee regular quality reviews to ensure high standards of data accuracy.
• Serve as the primary contact for delivery inquiries, providing clear commercial timeline updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience managing technical or data project delivery.
• Hands‑on experience in cloud infrastructure, application development or data/analytics (Python, SQL).
• Proven ability to lead, coach and manage technical professionals.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
• Pragmatic mindset with an understanding of how execution impacts business performance.
