Team Leader / Technician / Supervisor (Afternoon Shift)

About the role

Timpack is looking for a Team Leader / Technician / Supervisor to lead its afternoon Processing department. The role suits a current team leader and supervisor, or a fitter, technician, senior operator or experienced leading hand ready to move into leadership. It is a hands-on position on the production floor, supporting the team and keeping the plant running well.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 14-16 production staff.
• Manage staffing, workflow and daily production priorities.
• Coach and develop team members while building a positive team culture.
• Make practical decisions to keep production running safely and efficiently.
• Work with the engineer and external parties to troubleshoot production issues and minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and productivity.

Required profile

• Technical capability is valued more than years of supervision experience.
• Ideally comes from maintenance engineering, mechanical fitting, fitter & turner, production engineering, machine operation or manufacturing technician roles.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience, confident working around machinery and resolving equipment issues.
• Confidence making practical decisions in a fast-paced environment and a hands-on approach to day-to-day problems.
• Ability to lead by example, build positive relationships and communicate clearly.
