Teacher in Charge – Commerce (Online School)

About the role
Crimson Global Academy is seeking a Teacher in Charge for Commerce to lead its online Commerce curriculum. Reporting to the Principal and Head of Department, you will deliver IGCSE and A‑Level lessons, mentor fellow teachers and ensure a high‑quality learning experience for a global student body.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Commerce subjects (Business, Economics, Accounting) across 20 periods per week, with two release periods for leadership duties.
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons fully aligned with Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and A‑Level specifications.
- Maintain and update the course page in the LMS, including lesson plans and resources.
- Support the Head of Department with quality assurance, learning walks and standardisation processes.
- Mentor, develop and onboard new Commerce teachers.
- Contribute to curriculum review, assessment planning and exam preparation.
- Analyse post‑exam data, implement interventions and monitor student progress.
- Promote digital pedagogy, share best practices and encourage student participation in competitions and clubs.
Required profile
- Qualified teacher with deep expertise in Commerce (Business, Economics and/or Accounting).
- Strong knowledge of Pearson Edexcel IGCSE/A‑Level specifications, examiner reports and mark schemes.
- Experience teaching in an online environment and confidence using digital learning platforms.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to support and develop fellow teachers.
- Organised, data‑aware and committed to maintaining high academic standards.
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and A‑Level curricula.
