Tax & Business Advisory Roles – Central North Island

About the role

Deloitte New Zealand’s Tax and Business Advisory division is seeking experienced professionals for a range of positions across Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua. You will join a team of nearly 500 tax experts, providing pragmatic, commercial advice to businesses of all sizes and industries.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver solution‑driven tax and accounting advice on corporate, international, indirect, transfer pricing, M&A, customs and R&D tax matters.
• Stay up‑to‑date with New Zealand tax legislation and apply it to client engagements.
• Prepare and review tax returns, compliance filings and advisory reports.
• Collaborate with specialist tax teams to address complex client issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication.

Required profile

• Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting, Tax or Commercial Law.
• Experience in professional services, preferably a CA firm in New Zealand.
• Working towards or completed CA ANZ qualification (or equivalent legal studies).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple client projects.
• Motivation to grow a career in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
